Please explore the collection of my design projects that I have worked on. The projects represent my photography, packaging, prop, branding, poster, branding and graphic design skills and experience.
Photographic stories of individuals sharing their journey of finding confidence and embracing their identity through colour and fashion. The project was created for a Fashion and Identity photoshoot, demonstrating the depths of how fashion can bring forward powerful strength to personal identity, whilst delivering the quality of fashion photography.
This project was designed based on a brief initiating concepts of feminism and providing advocacy in social environments. I chose to advocate for making a change to period poverty. The posters were created using photography, painting and illustration to colourfully represent a worthy social issue that requires awareness. The development of a logo and a hashtag were incorporated for media usage and trending capabilities.
A project of two visual illustrations based on social issues. I chose to project the need for social change due to air pollution from fossil fuels that are impacting the environment and wildlife. For the second design I chose democratic corruption through political power. I used symbolic and metaphoric narrative to contrast the realism, inspiring powerful action to create change.
In order to represent connection and expansion in the Western Sydney community, The Network Of Growth was a source of interactivity for audiences to explore new spaces and environments in the Western Sydney area - gaining insight to history, culture, community engagement, resources and perspective. An interactive board game was created for community engagement. The publication presents the Western Sydney spaces for exploration, categorised under Earth, Wind, Fire and Water depending on location - after audiences engage with the spaces detailed within the publication, they can place a piece upon the magnetic board game, upon completion they will have the image of a tree demonstrating growth. Posters were created to advertise the campaign and are made to be situated at the locations to be explored, the quote on the posters are to be written on the particular location it was found within the provided publication for adventure and engagement.
A photoshoot exploring the riches of fashion that allow expression of personal identity, and culture. Highlighting the origins of design, craftsmanship and creative practice.
The photoshoot demonstrates the use of colour, props, lighting and set design to bring forth emotive stories.
This project was created for a social design brief for Animal Advocacy. The project aims to create social change through ethical consumerism that decreased the act of inhuman practices in the food industry, decreasing the negative impacts upon environmental cycles. I designed an app that helps audiences lead an ethical lifestyle, where the Impress Universal app accommodates to your personal lifestyle and provides ethical products and brands that can be bought in mainstream grocery stores. Audiences can scan their receipts and be rewarded for their ethical choices, given an opportunity to receive merchandise that aids in their ethical consumer journey. Posters and merchandise were designed for promotional advertising, focusing on photographic practice that projects the innocence of animals and the need for social change to preserve our wildlife and environments.
Capturing the essence of how we interact with objects and how they influence us. I chose to focus on drums, that is situated within a music magazine. The photoshoot explored the power of colour, light, and perspective to highlight our connection with objects that sentimentality when focused on the object's usage.
A project based on food and beverage packaging. I was inspired by the delicacy of Maltese sweet and savoury treats that have deep cultural significance. The social and emotional connection of family and friends in Maltese culture are celebrated through food. I wanted to capture the pride of tradition with intricate branding and packaging design. I have designed a style guide to explore the in-depth branding and visual identity.
A collaborative brief for the creative company 107, situated in Sydney. 107 provide a creative space for artists to display their work, obtain residency, collaborate with like-minded people and provide creative workshops to give back to their community. 107 have spaces in Redfern and Greensquare, where they hope to expand to South Eveleigh. I worked as a Junior Designer in The Burrow at Western Sydney University, to help design promotional campaigns for 107's expansion to South Eveleigh. My design group designed the concept of 107 Humans, that promoted the creative residents and staff within 107 studios. I conducted the photoshoots of the wonderful people involved at 107 and designed promotional posters for social media usage.
For my major design project, I designed a publication that showcases the emotive persona and social persona of individuals, contrasting how social media influences a surface level representation, where our true nature may not be explored, yet has great importance in positive social representation upon media. To accompany the publication, I designed promotional posters, video and merchandise that demonstrate the need for solidarity and connection of humanity, to ensure a positive technological age progression.
